EAI-PH Advisory on COVID-19

In connection to the ongoing public advisory on COVID-19 (novel corona virus) and after the assessment of the risks and threats of the said virus as manifested by the declaration of Code Red Sub-Level 2 by the Department of Health, Equal Access International Philippines (EAI-PH) hereby informs the following guidelines:

Consistent to the EAI-PH advocacy on the use of media communication tools, employees, Peace Promotion Fellows (PPF), the Tech Camp alumni, messaging hub partners and stakeholders may opt to do digital transactions including online conference calls, webinars, or teleworking as a measure of social distancing due to the COVID-19 threat. Any individual preferring to do this shall coordinate with the EAI-PH immediately.

For any scheduled travel prior the issuance of this advisory, EAI-PH advises postponement of such travels to attend any gathering or physical interaction on both personal and official capacity. This shall also be encouraged across the OURmindaNOW Messaging Hub network as well as the PPF and Tech Camp Alumni community.

Any event, gathering or meeting requiring physical and face-to-face interaction organized by local partners, groups or alumni shall be temporarily postponed until further advisory on the lifting of the red code status of public health
emergency.

Coordinate with the proper authorities and seek travel advice in cases of unavoidable or non-cancellable business or personal trips.

Practice self-quarantine if you have travel history with infected areas or exposed to the contagious disease.

EAI-PH enjoins all its partners to contribute to the team effort in responsible information dissemination to avoid unvalidated news and panic.

EAI-PH encourages the responders and generally, the public in utilizing the vast network of OURmindaNOW Messaging Hub through connecting with the regional and sub-regional nodes. Refer to this link to know our Messaging Hub hosts: https://ourmindanow.org/messaging-hubs/
